The United states Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) accused Fiat Chrysler Automobiles of violating the Clean Air Act past installing and declining to disclose the presence of 'engine management software' that allowed some of its diesel vehicles to emit more than nitrogen oxide than is permitted by constabulary.
